A solid arrangement of DARWALL’S 148th that gives a traditional treatment of the hymn in the beginning and then segues into a beautiful choral stanza followed by a bright ending.

This well-written arrangement of the stately hymn is probably best suited for adult or youth choirs with mature male singers, since the unison men's first verse has a wide vocal range of more than an octave. A free-composed a cappella middle section is harmonically interesting and has a resonant finish before returning to the hymn tune for a bright, exciting final stanza and grand ending.
For youth choirs with strong mature male voices or experienced adult choirs, this is not to be missed.

The Bottom Line
Pros
A celebratory anthem for choirs with strong men's sections.
