This anthem is suitable for virtually any setting where excellent choral music is highly valued. A perfect setting for Good Shepherd Sunday, the usages of this piece are virtually limitless. Two flutes can be used, or substitute C instruments may be used just as effectively. I have often used this anthem with piano, oboe and flute. The lines are lovely and the part writing is elegant. Anthem provides superb teaching possibilities both musically and theologically.
