Buoyant and energetic, “Sing a Jubilant Song” is a splendid showcase for SATB choirs. The lyrics are adapted from Psalm 98, the source of masterwork texts throughout history. The driving accompaniment propels the voices through the rhythmic, articulate opening and closing sections and the more legato middle verse. Building in harmony, texture, and intricacy from beginning to end, this piece will have all listeners eager to “Sing to the Lord a new song!”

You and your students will enjoy and appreciate this fresh setting of Psalm 98. Intricate and exacting from beginning to end, the melodic lines maintain interest and freshness throughout. A beautiful b-section provides lovely contrast and peacefulness, returning to the driving rhythm towards the end.
Although fresh and new-sounding, this anthem will wear well in the student choir repertoire. Enjoy!
