This is perhaps the most recognized and certainly the most memorized passage in all of the scriptures. Jesus teaches his disciples about the nature of prayer and shows his followers the importance of giving thanks and glory to God. Benjamin Harlan's setting for SATB choir and optional cello is a welcome addition to the other celebrated versions of this beloved scripture. Memorable.

Beautiful, simple setting of Jesus' example prayer taken from Matthew 6:9-13. Part-writing is well crafted and beautiful. Accompaniment, including cello solo, is supportive, fitting, and powerful.

Anthem begins to build intensity when it moves from 4/4 to 12/8 and changes keys in measure 22. Apex of the anthem is precisely where you would expect it, but it is still fresh and alive. Amen section borrowed and adapted from seven-fold amen.

Excellent anthem for students. Adults will enjoy it as well, but the student voice provides the just-right nuances.

A fresh setting of this text. Our youth and adult choir sang it together and both loved learning and singing it. The piano accompaniment is great and the choral writing is accessible, but interesting. I recommend it!
