Greg has taken the traditional Quaker text and positively supercharged it with his own gospel-styled music in this marvelous new look at a timeless American poem. This one has it all - a wide-open solo for your best gospel singer, an accompaniment that's fine as is, or can be embellished at will by your pianist, and hand claps from the very first measure that'll quickly spread through your audience or congregation. Highly recommended!

Not every celebratory anthem requires trumpets and pipe organs, and this is a primary example of such. Written in an infectious gospel style, the refrain is easily harmonized for any voicing, and it provides opportunity to feature a soulful soloist as well. In this voicing, SAB is actually voiced as "3-part Mixed" indicating a narrower male vocal range, making it suitable for younger voices. This piece for youth or adults would not only serve in a joyful celebratory worship service, but also would make a spirited closer for any concert.
The Bottom Line
Pros
This infectious celebratory anthem gets everyone involved in a joyful musical experience.
