This exciting piece is one of the rare ones in that it can be a powerful celebratory anthem for an experienced large youth choir, but a director who is skilled in working with middle-schoolers could easily adapt the tenor line to lie in the cambiata range for younger tenors and younger choirs. The unison tenor/bass lines indeed have a lower range than those younger boys should be singing, but that is when the director easily pulls in a part from the lower alto line for a perfect fit for those training choirs.
