Combining two familiar spirituals, this dazzling arrangement utilizes an abundance of rhythmic energy to express the need to lay down our burdens and stand before the Lord in prayer. Written in a down-home gospel style, this piece is well crafted and just plain fun. Optional parts for synthesizer, acoustic guitar, electric bass, percussion and drums are available. Highly recommended!

Directors are often in search of an upbeat, light piece to add to a concert setting, and audiences tend to love spirituals. This pairing of these 2 traditional spirituals is very light, lends itself to simple choreography, and would be very easily taught. This piece is available for SATB and SAB choirs and can be livened up further with the instrumental parts that would fit most "praise band" formats.
The Bottom Line
Pros
Good choice to add variety to the concert setting.
