This simple, meditative song of remembrance makes a moving selection for the observance of the Lord's supper. The gentle folk-like melody is accompanied by a transparent piano part and the effective text evokes images of the Eucharist. "At the table of the Lord, in thanksgiving, we have come to drink the wine which is poured. We remember Him, who died for us, now living. We remember Christ our Lord."

Here is a simple, easy, and effective anthem for the celebration of communion. Usable for youth choir, ensemble, quartet, or adult choir. Music is thoughtful, peaceful, and gentle throughout, using the lovely melody to issue the invitation to gather at the table. Any group of singers will find success with this little gem, and this SAB adaptation is well-done with a baritone line that is quite singable.
The Bottom Line
Pros
Useful for communion and accessible SAB arrangement.
