Salvation through Jesus Christ is proclaimed through an exquisite melody, rich harmonies, and a skillful accompaniment. Short a cappella highlights and a soprano descant punctuate the original melody of this beloved hymn. A truly beautiful depiction of Christ's love and sacrifice, appropriate for Lent or throughout the year.

This is a beautifully fresh setting of the familiar Lidie Edmunds hymn text. First, featuring the men and women separately, the entire choir unites for the first refrain, and, following a very nice transition, expands the harmonies to a rich final verse and finally back down again to a peaceful contemplative end.
The Bottom Line
Pros
A new setting for this familiar hymn text with nice harmonies and a beautiful melody
