For SATB and keyboard or orchestra. Very moving and dramatic, Wilberg creates a beautiful harmonic language that complements this classic carol. Orchestral material is available on hire.

In usual Mack Wilberg style, this gorgeous setting of the traditional English Carol is in 8 parts (SSAATTBB) and soars dynamically with incremental crescendo from beginning to the end. Not for a beginning or limited choir or sections who cannot manage independence and/or split voicings, this is most-effective with a large adult choir. A very good youth choir with plenty of older teens would also do a fine job and learn much from it. Perfect for concert settings, this is a wonderful arrangement of a Christmas favorite.
The Bottom Line
Pros
For the choir that is both large enough and skilled enough for 8 parts, this is an exciting choice.
