In a world where feelings of inadequacy run rampant, we can easily identify with David in his despair and longing for God's reassurance. What better place to look than the Psalms? While this heartfelt anthem is basically a hymn with coda, it has a deeply personal text (quoting Psalm 130 and relating to Psalm 51), and includes a notated refrain for use in worship for congregational participation. This SAB anthem would be accessible to most experienced choirs, but it may require a "congregational rehearsal" prior to using it in worship with congregational participation.

This is a nice anthem choice for a service that focuses on our need for God.
Cons
It is in a simple strophic form, 3-verses with refrain and coda.
