This breathtaking anthem is a personal testament of praise filled with phrases of remarkable authenticity. The text is almost a journal entry for the walk of faith, with a rare fragile quality that brings the listener close, breaking down walls for a moment of deeply genuine worship. The choral writing is appropriately warm to the subject, and the unison verses help create clarity and the spirit of sharing. Truly inspired!

This intimate anthem text speaks to the heart of the singer as well as to the worshiper in general, referencing how God meets us where we are. The strings add so much depth to the accompaniment, so if at all possible, they are recommended. The use of mixed meter throughout this piece fits the melody perfectly, and the brief quote of the hymn "Sweet Hour of Prayer" feels just right, as well.
This would be a welcome resource for any choir for a service about the personal relationship we have with God.

The Bottom Line
Pros
An intimate text and beautiful part writing showcases almost any choir.
