This high-energy arrangement includes the well-known spiritual Amen, Amen. It may be accompanied simply with piano, or with an added rhythm section, or full orchestra. Any way you choose, choirs will enjoy the upbeat rhythms and this joyous proclamation of the birth of Jesus. Fun!

Although the publisher information lists the 2 songs quoted as 2 "traditional spirituals," the song "Amen" is not a spiritual but the work of the composer Jester Hairston. Despite this error, this piece is a very effective and fun piece of music for the experienced choir. The part-writing is very interesting and will pose a challenge to many, but it will be definitely worth the effort. Instrumental parts for rhythm section plus synthesized instruments or for a full orchestra make this piece a flexible addition to add some energy to any programming plan. This piece is full of fun with a heaping serving of choral integrity.
The Bottom Line
