This selection combines the traditional with 21st century expression and looks to the eternal with hope and glorious musical vision. Lovely soaring lines in each vocal part create a beautiful choral texture. In Latin, with some English text, this work can be performed with piano, chamber ensemble, or full orchestra. A wonderful choice for Lent, this piece is also appropriate for general use.

This is a nice piece for the experienced choir featuring both the traditional Agnus Dei Latin text and its English translation. In a modern Romantic style, the accompaniment is quite versatile, depending upon the desired effect, as the full orchestration is quite well-written, but the piano accompaniment will also suffice in itself. This is an excellent choice for the choral director who wants to introduce a Latin text to the concert or worship setting.
The Bottom Line
Pros
Nice piece for a concert or Lent with Latin and English text.
