A text adapted from scripture and lovely choral moments that bring the text to life create a wonderful piece of consecration and dedication. Lush choral writing, with engaging interplay between upper and lower voices, contributes moments of true beauty. The rich, elegant piano accompaniment is enhanced by a part for solo cello.

This beautiful legato slower anthem begins with a sustained choral introduction that sets the tone for the text "Come unto Me all you who labor, and I will give you rest." This anthem begins softly and carefully builds to a climax by the full choir, only to decrescendo back to the same treatment with which it began: the choir supporting a sustained part beneath the solo. The cello part is included within the anthem, and if at all possible it would be almost essential to utilize a skilled cellist to bring this beautiful anthem fully to life.
