This beautiful choral setting remains true to the 1917 Christmas solo classic we all know and love, while the richness of choral harmony and a piano accompaniment that flows a bit more adds just the right update. The violin part is a vital "voice" of the original, and this arrangement stays true to that tradition, as well. The Rouse arrangement simply adds the richness of choral harmony, expanding this piece to become a choral classic that fits perfectly into the concert or worship setting and promises to become a new tradition.
The Bottom Line

This is a fine choral setting of the classic Christmas solo by Pietro Yon.
