This beautiful arrangement of the traditional German carol, scored for SATB choir and optional French horn, is rich and warm in its harmonies and gentle rhythms. The strength of the dynamics may be further enhanced by the addition of an optional brass quintet, organ, harp and percussion.

This gorgeous arrangement of a 17th century German hymn is one for the advanced choir. It contains beautiful, but exposed SSA and TB sections, layered with texture and rhythmic interest. The French Horn solo accompaniment is a beautiful addition soaring over the choir. Full brass parts are also available, but the single horn is mighty nice.
The Bottom Line
Pros
Dramatic and lush choral sonorities
Cons
Higher level of difficulty than most, but worth the work.
