Quintessential John Rutter, "All Bells in Paradise" is a moderately difficult anthem for a skilled choir. This piece would require strong men's sections and mature singers capable of long phrases with excellent music reading skills. There is a nice a cappella section prior to the final verse which features unison men and a treble 2 part descant that is angular, yet soaring. In the classic English choir tradition, this would be a nice programming piece for the advanced choir.
The Bottom Line
Pros
This is trademark John Rutter.
Cons
For the mature choir, capable of negotiating angular vocal lines.
